Today was a good day. We were both able to hold Chase for a long time, and he was so bright eyed and alert. It melts your heart to look into his eyes, and he into yours, and wonder what he's thinking. He also discovered his hand and thumb again, and attempted once again to suck on those for a while. I decided it's okay if he's a thumb sucker like his mom, knowing all the orthodontic work I had to endure :)
We stopped by St. Lukes to say "hi" to Amy and a few of the other nurses. We wanted to give Amy something special for all the special care she gave Chase. It felt natural going into the NICU at St. Lukes after going there daily for 5 weeks. It was strange not seeing Chase in room 12.
June has been in town the last few days and has been able to spend some quality time with Chase. I'm pretty sure he melts her heart too. He always seems to crack a smile when she talks to him...it's the cutest thing ever!

Hooray for good days! You're going to be out on the Trolley Trail with your little red stroller before you know it. We love y'all -
Katie & Chris,
Thank you for sharing Chase's journey. What an adorable and strong little boy you have! It is soo great to be able to keep up with how you are all doing. You have been and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
Love to you all!
Chase continues to win our hearts with his darling pictures. When I saw the Grandmas in action, my heart smiled! Chase and his whole family are encircled by many who love you, pray for you, and rejoice in the good news and appropriate medical procedures.
