10 weeks and 2 bottles

There's a couple more reasons to celebrate. Chase is 10 weeks old today (1.5 weeks adjusted age), and he had another eventful day with the bottle. I was able to bottle feed him for his 2 o'clock feeding and Chris for his 8 o'clock feeding. He drank about 20 mls each time. He kept it all down for Chris, but threw it ALL up for me, on me. I was luckily prepared with a towel. I burped him and everything. Chris must have the magic touch. I think his emesis is less, and he continues to gain weight. I bet he'll be up to 7lbs in the next day or two. So we are going to try the bottle feeds again tomorrow. We're shooting for 30mls tomorrow!
Chase has an MRI tomorrow to evaluate his spine. His condition, chondrodysplasia punctata, can sometimes result in an unstable spine and therefore spinal cord injury. They don't think he is at any risk. The MRI is just more of a precautionary test to make sure his spine is secure.
Chase is definitely getting more feisty. When we got there this afternoon, he had pulled his NG tube completely out again. He wasn't about to let the nurse get close to his nose again to re-insert it, but once she got started he tolerated it perfect and she was able to get it back in without a problem. I wonder if other babies pull out their feeding tubes as much as Chase, or if we should be concerned for the future :)
