Happy Chase

Chase was the most smiley and happy today that we've seen him, and much more awake than yesterday. He had lots of visitors and loved it! Cousin Becca, friends Amanda and Chris and Annison, and Grammy and Grandpa. Chase was a true gentleman for his company, and nearly finished his bottle for Cousin Bec. He lost a little weight again last night, so hopefully he will have put it back on when they weigh him tonight. They increased the amount of time he can wear his "artificial nose" that hooks on to the trach. He can now wear it 4 times daily for 2 hours at a time versus just three times daily. This makes it much easier to handle him than when he is attached to the humidified air. So since it was a happy day, we're going to celebrate with hot fudge sundaes, with extra hot fudge :)

I have been keeping up with Chases' journey when not at KU myself. I had a vanilla milkshake to celebrate my successful surgery on the 10th and to applaude the pedatric doctors who are caring for Chase. It is important that the doctor is wanting success as much as the patient and patient's family and friends. Chases's doctors sound caring and hard working. God Bless and know many from Clinton UMC are concerned and praying for Chase and all of you.

The pictures get cuter and cuter--love the Daddy and Chase double smile today! We're home from Indy and still with you in thoughts and prayer. We celebrated life at Tom's favorite childhood custard stand--the butter pecan was for you, Chase!!
