Chase was transferred today and is doing well. I think I had a more difficult time with the transition than he did, but good thing it's not about me. It's the fear of the unknown, and it's alot different than St. Lukes - bigger, crowded, louder with lots of crying babies. Didn't get that warm fuzzy feeling. But again, we know it's where he needs to be, and it's only day 1. I'm just not sure Chase will get the extra attention that he got at St. Lukes with being held and dressed up and photographed. He loved it! So it'll take some getting used to, but we're one step closer to bringing him home I guess.
His breathing and frequency of desats seems to be about the same. They ran some more blood tests, and he's still anemic. So he may need another blood transfusion. He's supposed to get a CT scan tomorrow and a skeletal survey or x-ray to better assess his anatomy and chondrodysplasia. Tomorrow we'll hopefully get to meet more people (his doctor, the geneticist, ENT, plastic surgery)
What 2008 has taught us
-Faith in God and Trust in His will
-Hope for a brighter tomorrow
-Unconditional Love for such a little being :)
