We were scrambling last week trying to figure out who could watch Chase since we both had to go back to work. We are still waiting on the approval of the Medicaid waiver, and the Kansas home isn't ready to move into yet. So we couldn't get home nursing without paying out of pocket for it. Mom offered to help watch him but wasn't yet comfortable with the feedings and trach care. So I went home last weekend to help her get more comfortable with things. Our good nurse friend Amy along with Mom and family friend Vicky watched him Monday. Mom and Vicky felt comfortable with things and were gracious enough to offer to help watch him the rest of the week. Mom will watch him Thursday along with a hired nurse, and Vicky and Mom will watch him all the other days. It's so comforting and wonderful knowing they're taking care of him while we're at work!!! They are quite a team!!!
We've got a good lead on the selling of our Brookside house. A couple has shown alot of interest and has come to look at our home twice now and they're coming back tomorrow. They plan on making a decision by Tuesday, so we're saying extra prayers that they make an offer and that works out. What a relief that would be!
Chase has been great all week and is finally over his cold. We go to the doctor and orthopedic surgeons tomorrow, so hopefully we get good reports from them.
