It was a special weekend. Chase was baptized on Sunday at the United Methodist Church in Clinton, MO. This church is special to me for a number of reasons. It's where I grew up and where Chris and I were married. This church, my church family, has been praying for Chase since the day he was born, and have been extremely supportive to our family. So what better place to welcome Chase into the Christian community. Chase was a perfect angel. Chris's mom, June, brought the Christening gown that Chris was baptized in, as well as several other members of Chris's family, including his father and grandmother. This gown is close to 200 years old and it is beautiful. It was too old and fragile to dress Chase in, but we layed it over Chase to snap some pictures. It was wonderful to have Jim and June, my sister and her family, and several other friends and family all come to town for the special occasion. After the baptism, we gathered at my parents for brunch. It was a prefect precursor to Christmas.

I agree, your church was a great place for the baptism.
Katie,
What a sweet and beautiful moment for your family. Thank you for sharing with all of us. God blessed you and Chris with such an amazing gift. I am glad that things are going so well for all of you. Chase looks so adorable. I know that you will have a wonderful Christmas, there is something magical about their first Christmas even if they have no idea what is going on. Connor was only 16 days old for his first Christmas and we still loved every second of it. He turned 3 today, it goes so fast. He is beyond excited for Santa this year. God Bless and Merry Christmas.
