We were there this morning when the doctors rounded on Chase. They said the surgeons will see him Monday and then set a date for the g-tube and fundo. He's only taking about 30% of his feedings by mouth, and rest via NG tube (the yellow tube in his nose). Each day he gets much better at breastfeeding, but they're not really counting that since there is no way to tell how much he is actually getting. As much as we dread putting him through another surgery, we know it's what he needs to come home safe and soon. He's been in the hospital entirely too long! This is how we know we've made too many trips to Children's and our brain is tired: -we forget where we park the car in the parking garage at least once a week, I realize on my way to work that I'm half way to the wrong hospital (Children's instead of North K.C.), I order a latte, pay, and walk off without my latte. Even funnier is that each of these things have happened more than once. :)
Chase was very sleepy today, but very cuddly too. We held him ALL day! It was great! Maybe tomorrow he'll be more awake and alert.

Katie and Chris, It's wonderful to check up on Chase's progress this week. Without a computer, I've missed reading the blog each day. I'll be praying for you and for Chase this week that the surgery goes well. Love you, Lizzi
